Into the Unknown

1. You are in an old abandoned building, where for many years no man has gone before, and notice a staircase leading to the dungeon. Slowly you make your way down, counting the steps. One step... two... three... How many steps does this ladder have?
2. There is complete darkness in the space in the dungeon. Then, from the darkness, you hear the sounds of another person. Is this man crying quietly? Moaning without words? Is that the voice whispering to you?
3. How do you react to the sound of this strange person? Are you trying to determine the source of the sound? Your first wish is to rush up the stairs without looking back? Or have you been paralyzed by fear and unable to move?
4. Now you hear someone calling your name and see a figure coming down the stairs. Who is this man coming down the stairs to you?

Interpretation:

1. The number of stairs indicates the influence of the psychological scars that you hold in yourself. Those people who said that there were only a few steps do not feel the significant hostile impact of the past. But those who described a long ladder leading deep underground, respectively, are inside a very deep wound.
2. The sounds you hear in the dark reveal how you have gone through a negative experience in the past.
Those who said they heard crying found comfort and support from others in times of hardship, and the help they received helped them cope. The people who took care of you helped you become who you are now. The tears you cried were not in vain.
People who heard a wordless moan, went through a negative experience alone. The groan you hear in the dark is your own buried pain. Maybe it's time to open the door and let the daylight in. In the light of day everything will look not so dull.
Those who heard the voice addressed to them bear their old scars as a symbol of pride, refusing to perceive them as wounds. Nietzsche said, " what doesn't kill us makes us stronger," and you seem to have taken that philosophy close to heart. But be careful, don't let it make you indifferent to other people's feelings.
3. Your reactions to sounds in the dark demonstrate how you deal with the painful aspects of your own past.
If you went to look for the source of the sound, then most likely in life you follow the same approach. Meeting your problems openly and directly, you are sure to find a solution. Those of you who immediately ran back up the stairs without trying to find the source of the sound are used to ignoring the problems in the hope that they will just disappear by themselves. This approach can sometimes work, but don't be surprised if the troubles haunt you longer than you expected. Sometimes you have to face your fears.
If you are frozen in place for fear, then perhaps in your past there is some unresolved conflict that continues to haunt you and does not allow you to move forward in life.
4. The person who came upstairs and called you by name is the one you think you can rely on in times of trouble. You think the person you named will comfort you and help you heal your internal wounds.
